Valentine's Party
We had a great time at our party. We had pizza, ice cream, and lots of candy! Happy Valentine's Day!
Edible Simple Machines
This week students learned about simple machines. They read an article about simple machines and came up with many great examples of how they are used in everyday life. Students were then given Oreos, mints, pretzel sticks, Twizzlers, graham crackers, and fruit slices to create their own simple machines. They learned a lot, but the best part was eating the machines! :)

It's Electric!
This
week we have been learning about electricity. First, students started off
with a challenge. They were given two wires, a battery, and a light
bulb, and their goal was to make the light bulb work. It took a few tries, but
students were able to work together to correctly build their series circuit to
light the light bulb. They then built different circuits to determine which
circuits worked and which did not. This experiment definitely took some
perseverance and teamwork, but they did a great job!
